Facing a Place

While traveling and studying art in Southern France, I photographed the landscape and later, with a Provence-inspired palette, I painted a series of watercolor portraits, these mixed media works are the result of merging painting and photograph.

Each one offers a glimpse at capturing the physical experience with the lens of the camera and an the emotional experience through a painted face.
